About Viatorem
Welcome to Viatorem: the study association for Tourism Management students at the Hospitality Business School of Saxion.
Viatorem is an association created for students, by students. We organize a wide range of activities — from fun social drinks and parties to inspiring workshops, guest lectures, and company visits. Our goal is to connect students and help them get the most out of their time at university, both socially and professionally.
Our mission is to strengthen the sense of community and engagement among students, while also contributing to student retention within the program. Viatorem serves as both a support network and a meeting place — a space where students feel at home, can relax, and share their experiences about the study program.
Our vision focuses on creating an inclusive and active student association, with special attention to both Dutch and international students. We intentionally keep the threshold to join low: everyone is welcome, regardless of background or stage of study. By fostering an open and friendly atmosphere, we build a strong network where students can support and inspire each other.
Our core values are accessibility, involvement, and community. We want everyone to feel welcome and connected — both to their fellow students and to the Tourism Management program itself.
To achieve our mission and vision, we focus on several key objectives. We offer supportive study sessions and organize activities that encourage connection, development, and networking. Of course, there’s also plenty of room for fun — with social drinks and parties where you can get to know your fellow students in an informal way.
